Turn Your Solar Estimate Into a Real Installation Plan
Send us your calculated requirements and let our solar experts help you plan the right system, equipment and installation for your home.
A solar load calculation starts with energy, not only the number of appliances. Your electricity bill shows monthly units in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Dividing monthly units by roughly 30 gives average daily consumption. The required solar array then depends on usable sunshine, orientation, temperature, dust, inverter losses and how much of your consumption you want solar to cover.
For example, a home using 600 units per month averages about 20 kWh per day. A system should not be selected from that number alone: air-conditioner starting load, simultaneous appliance use, roof space and whether you need battery backup also affect inverter and battery sizing.
Solar Panel Calculator: kW to Number of Panels
Panel count is approximately system watts divided by module wattage. A nominal 5kW array using 585W modules needs about nine panels to reach or slightly exceed 5kW DC. The final string layout must still remain within the inverter's MPPT voltage and current limits.
Solar System Cost Calculator in Pakistan
The cost estimate adds panel quantities, the inverter, whole battery packs, mounting stands, wiring, connectors, protection, earthing and installation labor. You can add delivery, civil work, metering and other project expenses. Published reference rates are editable; costs without a rate stay flagged as unpriced instead of disappearing from the budget. Discount, extra tax and a contingency allowance are shown separately.
Load Calculator vs Solar System Calculator
A load calculator estimates the power and energy used by appliances. A solar system calculator translates energy demand into a suggested PV capacity. For battery-backed systems, a third calculation is needed for usable battery kWh and backup duration. Keeping these calculations separate prevents an oversized inverter from being mistaken for sufficient solar generation or battery capacity.
Sizing factors
What Changes the Required Solar Size?
Monthly Units
Use several recent bills where possible so seasonal consumption is not hidden by a single low month.
Peak Appliance Load
Air conditioners, pumps and motors affect inverter capacity even when their daily energy use is moderate.
Solar Yield
Location, season, roof direction, shading, temperature and system losses change daily production.
Backup Requirement
Battery size depends on the loads you want to run during outages and the number of backup hours required.
Calculator FAQs
Solar Load Calculator FAQs
With 585W modules, a practical 5kW-class array is about 9 panels. Exact quantity depends on the target DC array size and the inverter's permitted input range.
Yes. Monthly kWh is a useful starting point for energy sizing, but inverter power, roof conditions and backup requirements still need separate checks.
Yes. The appliance calculator can estimate nominal battery capacity from daily energy, backup days, the entered usable fraction and conversion efficiency. Final battery selection must still be checked against inverter/BMS compatibility and desired essential loads.
The budget separates panels, inverter, optional battery packs, mounting stands, cables, connectors, protection equipment, earthing, labor and site costs. You can change quantities and rates, include additional items, and apply a quoted discount, additional tax or contingency. Hardware included in a stand kit should not be charged twice. Any included line without a price stays marked as unpriced, so a partial budget cannot be mistaken for a complete offer.
